Well,
just take a look around everywhere, you will find a number phone is
walking on the road with Smartphone or tablets in their hand. These are
people who resolve problems mostly walking on the road or surfing on
their Smartphone. A generation ahead of time in thoughts and technology
that is what we call millennial.
What
about their passions and habits? Well, on the best passion they have is
to drive on the speedy cars. The millennial generations or rather the
Gen Y loves to drive, but with the rising prices on cars we have been
witnessing a loss of interest.
Who
are the millennial actually? Gen Y consumers – those born between 1977
and 1994. These people are not showing interest on those cars which is
not able to hold water nor has a cup holder. They check out the new car prices and make a swift decision on the cars with developed accessories.
The
accessories should be interesting and must match their mentality and
fast life. They are practical about the cost and the prices, thus places
the new car quotes after making a rational decision.
The
gen Y customers who does not have a car of their won at present or does
not lease vehicle the cost is almost a big factor for most of them.
Cost is the main barrier for them and almost 80 percent of them say that
they cannot afford it and three quarters of them cite high operational
and maintenance costs.
Well, in order to keep the Gen Y engaged you need to keep a watch on the new car prices that comes up. That should be affordable to collect Gen Y buyers to make the new cars quotes.
Well,
according to the data based up on, Deloitte’s, the survey says survey
responses from 23,000 consumers across 19 countries, including 2,000 and
more U.S. consumers. Among them 677 from Gen Y, alone represents 80
million customers.
Another
exciting find by the Deloitte’s suggests that the millennial generation
wants to stay behind their wheels of their own automobiles. Over 60
percent among them plan to buy their cars in the upcoming three years
and 23 percent of them will buy the car by 2015.
Most
of the respondents, say around 75 percent says that the technology in
their car should be far more than advanced. It should be able to
diagnose the vehicles on the road. Half of the population wants their
car connected to the internet and other multiple entertainment options
according to the Reuters.
29
percent of the Gen Y people will give up their cars and other
traditional mobility options like car-sharing or car-pooling and 8
percent do not expect to buy or lease a car even in their life.
Most
of the millennial population does show a clear interest in the vehicles
and have specific ideas on the car they like to but for them. Well,
these are mere some general ideas and thoughts, but with the economic
environment the trend in millennial might keep on changing.
